Parliament adjourned on 3rd day amid opposition uproar

Both houses of the parliament were adjourned on the 3rd day as well when the opposition continued to create a ruckus over GST and inflation. The houses will resume on Thursday morning at 11.00 a.m.

Health Minister thanks PM for his letter to vaccinators

Amit Shah encourages policing institutes to introduce technology in training

Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a review meeting of the central police training institutes. He said after the meeting that 60% of training should be basic policing training for all forces while the remaining 40% should be specific and tech-enabled for different troops.

Namibia signs MoU with the Indian government for the Cheetah translocation project

After delaying it for a month, Namibia has finally signed an MoU sent by the Indian government for the execution of world 1st trans-continental cheetah translocation project. The project will be carried out at Kuno wildlife sanctuary in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh.

The counting for Presidential elections will begin today at 11 a.m. today and the 15th President of India will be announced today. The counting will be done at the Parliament house. NDA Draupadi Murmu and Opposition Yashwant Sinha are pitted against each other in the Presidential race.

EAM S Jaishankar to speak at General Assembly session today

India has reiterated that it will continue to support the Sri Lankan people for their political and economic stability. The statement was issued by the High Commission of India in Colombo after Ranil Wickremesinghe was elected as the new President.

MHA issues new relaxations for Agniveers

The Central government announced in Rajya Sabha that Agniveers who get demobilized after completing their time in the Armed Forces will get an exemption from the Physical Efficiency Test and relaxation or upper age for recruitment under CAPF 10% quota.

1st batch of Cheetahs to arrive before 15th August from Namibia

India will introduce 8-10 cheetahs every year with a total of 50 cheetahs from Namibia, South Africa, and a few more African countries. India will receive the 1st batch from Namibia before Independence Day, and they will be released in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh

Key Highlights of this Project:

The total length of the new rail line will be 116.65 km.

The project will be completed by 2026-27, it will generate direct employment during construction for about 40 lakh man days.

The route will go via Rajasthan Sirohi district, as well as Gujarat’s Banaskantha and Mahesana districts.

It would enhance connectivity and improve mobility leading to the overall socio-economic development of the region.

As it connects the important pilgrimage sites and hence, it will facilitate easy travel for millions of devotees.

It would also facilitate faster movement of agricultural and local goods, further enhancing connectivity between Gujarat and Rajasthan.

It would provide an alternative route for the existing Ahmedabad-Abu Road railway line.
