India aircraft fleet to double in the next 5 years

Indian aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said during his address at the Assocham CEOs roundtable that India’s aircraft fleet is expected to double in the next 5 years. The current fleet size is 700 aircraft and the aim is to have 1,200 aircraft in 5 years.

India nominates GARBA to be inscribed on UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list

India has nominated the dance form Garba to be inscribed on UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list. UNESCO(United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) Director Eric Falt said that after the inclusion of ‘Durga Puja’ on the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage representative last year, India has now nominated ‘Garba’ for 2022.
