जाल रम्भ में अधिक पर्ण अवकाश होते हैं जिससे स्टील कुछ छोटे-छोटे भागों में विभाजित हो जाते हैं। जिन्हें मेरीस्टील कहते हैं। उदाहरण #8211; ड्रायोप्टेरिस (Dryopteris)।
