These waves cannot be transmitted through vacuum

Sound.Sound is a mechanical wave that is created by vibrating objects & propagated through a medium from one location to another. That is, mechanical waves cannot travel through a vacuum. As mechanical waves rely on particle interaction in order to transport their energy, they cannot travel through regions of space that are void of particles.
