SSC MTS 2018

Staff Selection Commission of India has finally released a notice stating the exam dates for SSC MTS 2018. The 2018 SSC Calendar was published on 1st February 2018. The Online Application for SSC MTS 2018 will commence from 4th August 2018 and will end on 31st August 2018. The online Exam will commence in the month of December 2018 and January 2019.

SSC MTS Result 2017

SSC MTS 2017 Vacancy Increased!

Staff Selection Commission of India has increased total number of vacancies for SSC MTS 2017 Exam. Earlier the vacancy was around 8300. The new SSC MTS Vacancy has been increased to 10,302. SSC MTS 2017 Notification

The notification for SSC MTS 2017 Exam was released on 31st December 2016. The closing date for the SSC MTS application process was 30th January 2017. The exam for the same was scheduled on 30th April 2017. But as the paper was leaked, SSC decided to re-conduct the paper through online examination from 16th September to 31st October 2017.

SSC MTS 2017 Exam Centre

The Staff Selection Commission conducts Multi-Tasking Staff exam at various centres all over the country. Candidates are given the option to select the centre of their choice while filling in the application form. The final allotment of the centre by SSC is done based on the choice of the candidate. The notification for the same was released on 31st December 2016.

SSC MTS 2017 Recruitment

SSC or Staff Selection Commission conducts Multi-Tasking Staff Exam (MTS) every year in 2 different stages. It is mandatory for the candidate to qualify both these stages of examination in order to make it to the merit list prepared by SSC prepared at the end.

SSC MTS 2017 Exam Pattern

The examination of SSC MTS 2017 will be conducted in 2 different levels: Paer-1 and Paper-2.Paper-1 is an online exam which is objective multiple choice question type. Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination which includes a descriptive paper in Englishor any other language listed in the government policies.

Paper-I

As SSC MTS 2017 is going to be conducted online, major changes have been made in the exam pattern of SSC MTS 2017 Exam. The number of questions asked in General Awareness and General English Section has been reduced from 50 to 25. The overall duration of completing the paper has also been reduced from 120 minutes to 90 minutes.

SSC released the revised SSC MTS 2017 syllabus for SSC MTS 2017 in its notification. SSC MTS 2017 Eligibility Criteria

There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfil in order to be eligible for SSC MTS 2017 Exam. Let’s have a look at all these three criteria:

Nationality: A candidate is required to be

  • A citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal
  • Subject of Bhutan
  • Tibetan Refugee
  • Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afganistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam

Age: A candidate must be of minimum 18 years of age and must not exceed 25 years of age as on 01.08.2016. Apart from the pre mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.

SSC MTS Application Fee

The Application Fee for SSC MTS 2017 is Rs. 100/- candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. In addition to this, female candidates are also exempted from paying the application fee for SSC MTS 2017 exam.

SSC MTS Cut Off:

The cut-off for SSC MTS 2017 will be declared once the examination for the same is conducted and the result has been declared. The cut-off will depend upon the level of difficultyof the SSC MTS 2017 Exam as well as the number of candidates appearing for the exam.

SSC MTS 2017 Preparation

As Tier-I exam of SSC MTS 2017 is already knocking at the door, it is really important to prepare effectively for this exam, keeping in mind the latest change in Exam Pattern (online mode) and the . A proper strategy is required while preparing for SSC MTS 2017 Exam.

Numerical Ability: Prepare topics such as Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Mensuration, Time and distance, Average, Number System, Algebra and Data Interpretation. Divide time accordingly for each topic and consult good books to prepare for this section.

English Language: Cloze Test, Reading Comprehension and Error Spotting and Correction are three major sections that you need to focus on while preparing for this section.

General Awareness: Learn from Static GK, Latest Current Afffairs, Sports etc. to prepare effectively for General Awareness Section.

Reasoning: Focus on the areas of Coding-Decoding, Venn Diagram, Blood Relation and Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning. Try to solve as many questions as you can to get acquainted with the type of questions being asked in this section.
