Antranilic acid is a (C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>4</sub>—NH<sub>2</sub>COOH) white solid (m.p. 418 K) obtained by the reduction of o-nitrobenzoic acid. It is sweet in taste and soluble in water, alcohol and ether. It is used the manufacture of indigo, tin #038; methyl anthranitrates is used in perfumery.
