Characteristics of Reflection of Waves #8211; (i) In case of reflection, frequency of the wave remains unchanged. i.e. ωi = ωr = ω, (ii) Incident wave, reflected wave, normal and refracted wave always lies in the same plane, (iii) On reflection, amplitude and intensity of wave may decrease, (iv) If a wave is reflected from a free end, then it reflect without any change in phase.
